What is The Cosmic Poppy?
The Cosmic Poppy + Poppy California is a lifestyle brand based in Northern California. Our offerings are made ethical, slow, and dreamy for daily life in community gathering, festival, and ritual spaces. We hand make whimsical apparel through an intuitive creative process by offering iridescent matching sets - jackets, flare pants, bandeau tops and dreamy pieces mixed/matched between night/day, in the dreamworld/real world. We promote radical self care, harm reduction and mental wellness when embodying a holistic lifestyle beyond festival, gathering, and ritual spaces. We also offer handmade, local self-care offerings and ritual tools to encourage spiritual growth and assist in the transformational process.
Are Poppy California and The Cosmic Poppy the same brand?
Yes! Poppy California LLC is our official business name, but we go by The Cosmic Poppy on social media and among our community. Most of all, we're simply known as Poppy.
Where are you located?
We primarily operate online at www.poppy-california.com and vend at select in-person events. Stay updated on our latest pop-ups by joining our email list or following us on social media! You can also find us at the following retailers.
Do you have a physical store?
We are opening a physical location inside Atra Nova located in Nevada City, California on March 1st, 2025. It will be like shopping in our very own living room, with a lounge space and studio located upstairs.
Orders & Shipping
Where do you ship?
We currently ship within the U.S. only. Shipping rates and times vary based on your location.
How long will my order take to arrive?
Orders typically ship within 1-3 business days. Once shipped, domestic orders usually arrive within 2-4 days. You’ll receive a tracking number as soon as your order is on its way!
Can I modify or cancel my order after placing it?
We process orders quickly, but if you need to make changes, email us at hello@poppy-california.com within 24 hours, and we’ll do our best to assist with any changes.
Returns & Exchanges
What is your return policy?
Due to the nature of our handmade and apothecary products, all sales are final. However, if there is an issue with your order, please reach out within 30 days of receiving your package, and we’ll do our best to make it right and offer options for exchange.
Do you accept exchanges?
Yes, we do offer exchanges on items that are unworn, new and still have original packaging but we do not accept exchanges on sale items, apothecary, and face masks. If you received a damaged or incorrect item, contact us, and we’ll find a solution.
Wholesale & Collaborations
Do you offer wholesale?
Yes! Our apothecary line is available for wholesale. If you're interested in carrying The Cosmic Poppy in your shop, please email hello@poppy-california.com or visit our wholesale page for details.
Do you collaborate with other brands?
We love creative partnerships! If you have an idea for a collaboration, send us a message using this contact form.
Custom Offerings
Do you offer custom bath salt blends?
Yes! We offer a tailored bath salt experience, which includes a 30-minute consultation to create a personalized blend of flowers and healing herbs just for your needs. Please email us at hello@poppy-california.com

Ethics & Sustainability
How does The Cosmic Poppy prioritize ethics and sustainability?
Ethics are woven into everything we do. From thoughtfully sourced ingredients in our apothecary line, to slow-small-batch production and minimal packaging, we strive to reduce waste and create products that are kind to both people and the planet. Where do you source your materials?
We carefully select our fabric and materials from mills located in Europe and our vendors located in Los Angeles, Ca. We strive to be involved in our entire supply chain. You can read more about fabrics and materials here.
Where are your clothes made?
Our clothing is handmade locally in Los Angeles, and San Francisco in small volume studios that we can visit at any time.
Do you use eco-friendly packaging?
Yes! We minimize plastic use and choose upcycled, 100% post-consumer recyclable, compostable or reusable packaging. We also encourage our customers to repurpose or recycle their packaging to extend its life cycle. Please read more about our packaging here.
Are your products cruelty-free?
Absolutely. We never test on animals, and our apothecary products are made with plant-based ingredients, free from synthetic additives and harmful chemicals.
What steps are you taking to improve sustainability in the future?
We are always evolving! As we grow, we continue seeking better materials, greener shipping solutions, and ways to give back to the environment and our community. Ethics and sustainability are a journey, and we’re committed to learning and improving every step of the way. That is how Poppy began after all.
